The HOA board publishes a detailed list of tasks that they are working on here (https://bit.ly/hjv-tasks). Major projects for 2023 includes:
Landscaping
- Create a multi-year master plan of landscaping/xeriscaping upgrades for common areas. These improvements will help improve the natural beauty of our community while also reducing watering and maintenance costs.
- Apply for two NGLA grants, neighborhood improvement project (NIP), sustainable neighborhood solutions (SNS), to implement the first phase of landscaping improvements.
- Install irrigation controller upgrades after dewinterizing. This upgrade alerts us on detected leaks, adjusts irrigation schedules due to rain, and enables us to manage irrigation schedules around planned park events.
- Complete repairs of PVC irrigation line along Martin on the east side of the community, that were originally installed under the fence posts and therefore damaged and leaking.
- Complete the first phase of tree replacements: remove a number of dead tree identified in the 2022 tree survey and replace with new trees.
Social Events
- Work with the social committee to plan our event calendar for 2023.
- Apply for an NGLA neighborhood activity fund (NAF) for a capstone event in 2023.
ARC Guidelines
- Work with the ARC committee on guideline updates for flags & signs, basketball hoops, clotheslines, firepits, and rain barrels.
